The U.S.S. Mullinnix (DD-944) was a Forest Sherman class Destroyer named after
ADM Henry Matson Mullinnix who died during World War II

I was stationed aboard the "Mighty Mux" from March 1975 to August 1979.  I reported onboard as a  Third Class Petty Officer and left as a Second Class Petty Officer ready to take the First Class exam.

From 3/75 to 1/77 the USS Mullinnix was homeported in Norfolk, VA.  1/77-12/77 she was in drydock at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, NYC,NY.  12/77 to my transfer in 8/79 the Mux was homeported in Charleston, SC
My thanks to the men of the USS Mullinnix (DD-944) who surf the net for the photographs; in particular: Frank Wood, Ed Verbeke and James Young.
